Introduction to Basketball Coaching (Level 1)

This course is for those that wish to become a Coaching Assistant in basketball.
This course has been developed to provide learners with the confidence to deliver safe, fun and inclusive basketball sessions under the supervision of an independent coach.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

Identify the roles and responsibilities of the Coach Assistant

Identify how to create a great participant experience in Basketball

Identify the basic principles of the game

Identify the core skills needed to play the game

Develop ideas on how to deliver safe, fun and relevant games

Have confidence to deliver to small groups
We will be announcing our first Introduction to Basketball course shortly.
Putting you, the learner, at the centre of everything we do.
We want to each of our coaches that choose to enrol on our courses to be able to have the support needed to complete the qualification. As a result, we will have optional drop in sessions on all of courses after the two practical days, as well as creating a WhatsApp group for more peer to peer learning. In addition, we will be on hand to answer with any queries that learners have through our email address.
